Evan was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but his family moved to Dallas when he was in 4th grade. He played baseball and football in high school, and then moved to Austin to play college baseball after graduating from Bryan Adams in Dallas.
Upon graduating with his Bachelor’s from Texas State University in San Marcos, Evan began working at a premier personal injury law firm in Austin, Texas while pursuing a Master’s degree in Legal Studies during the evenings.
After completing his Master’s program, Evan returned to Oklahoma to attend law school at the University of Tulsa where he served as President of the University’s mock trial organization, the Board of Advocates. While in school, Evan interned for Tulsa County District Court Judge, the Honorable Daman Cantrell, and competed as a member of the National Native American Law Appellate Mock Trial Team. Evan graduated with honor and was selected to the Order of Barristers – an honor society for students who focus on oral advocacy and have excelled in moot court and mock trial competitions while in law school. After graduating, he returned to Texas to be closer to his family and begin his career as an attorney.
Evan handles cases in Criminal Defense, Family Law (divorces, child custody disputes, child support cases, etc.), Personal Injury, and other various civil litigation areas such as contract and property related issues. Evan has defended multiple clients in criminal jury trials that resulted in Not Guilty verdicts and has successfully resolved many contested Family Law matters whether by agreement or by advocating for his clients in court before numerous Judges in Dallas, Denton, and Collin counties.
Evan was raised by his mother and step-father in North Texas. Growing up in a divided household gave Evan the personal experience and understanding to be able to relate to his family law clients who are dealing with the complexities of custody issues and raising children in separate homes.
Evan takes the time to get to know each of his clients on a personal level and to understand their problems and desired outcomes. He enjoys being in the courtroom and fighting to ensure his clients get the representation they deserve.
Evan is a member of the Family Law Section of the Texas Bar and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
